My favorite bar, no doubt. This was the first tavern I ever went to, and it quickly became my go-to spot. The drinks are amazing, the atmosphere is just right to relax and unwind. Every now and then, I sneak away for a quick drink here before heading home. It always makes me feel good. I absolutely love this place!

Definitely worth checking out of you're driving Devil's Backbone for the first time. They also have live music on the weekends. Make sure to put your 1 bill on the wall!

Absolutely loved this place!! The atmosphere was great, the people were friendly and we even got to leave a dollar on the wall! Service was a little slow, but the bartender was the only one there. She was really nice and sweet tho! Stopped here on an anniversary trip with my boyfriend and 10/10 would go back again! Cheap drinks and good vibes

Claiming to be the oldest dive bar in Texas, Devil’s Backbone Tavern will live up to all of your dive bar dreams. We stopped in for a few afternoon drinks but I can only imagine what the night life is like. The bartenders are kind and friendly, the drinks are great, and the atmosphere is hearty. The walls and floors and barstools undoubtedly hold storehouses full of stories told and untold from their long life. There’s also some great merch that you’ll definitely want to purchase.

Cool little dive bar with a great dance hall! The singers and songwriters' night was really neat to listen to! Beer was cold and the outdoor area was nice!

Great Hill Country honky tonk. 1st Sunday Two Tons of Steel play starting at 1pm. No food, just drinks and lots of dancing.

Took a ride on back roads from Bandera to Devils Backbone Tavern. Heard about this place in an article on dive bars worth visiting. It is a very cool place with a nice outdoor area and a huge dance hall. This place and the staff were very much worth the ride to get here. I hope we get the chance to visit one more time before we go back home.

Nice little place. We'll definitely be going back.
